Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, one of the flagship vehicles of Maruti Suzuki hasn’t lost its spark amongst the buyers ever since it entered the Indian market. It is getting popular day by day as it has been seeing a steady growth throughout its lifetime.

The Wagon R Vxi AMT variant comes equipped with all aluminum, 3-cylinder 998 cc lightweight K-series petrol engine which churns out 68 PS @ 6200 RPM and 90 NM @ 3500 0f max power and max torque respectively. 4-valves per cylinder is used for the accurate injection of fuel and to give better performance and fuel efficiency. To channelize this power to the front wheels, Maruti Suzuki has used 5-speed manual transmission. The power is provided by ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear to ensure proficient braking when required and accomplish the employed task. The car comes with a rated capacity of 5 passengers and has a 35-liter capacity fuel tank. It weighs about 885 kgs and can go up to a maximum speed of 152 kmph.
In terms of safety and security, the Wagon R Vxi AMT variant possesses fog lamps, rear door child lock, rear washer/wiper and defogger, headlamp leveling, security alarm, engine immobilizer, body structure with crumple zones, side impact beams, and seat belt warning light.
For enhancing the comfort and convenience, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Vxi Amt features electronic power steering with tilt adjustment, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, front and rear power windows, manual air conditioner with heater, front seats with sliders and reclining feature, keyless central locking, rear seat with split and flat folding feature, dashboard integrated with push type cup holders, storage tray under the front passenger seat, 3 grip assist, tailgate and fuel lid opener, map pocket and storage pocket at the back of front passenger seat.

Handling is good enough though roll-out can be felt at high speeds which results in low high-speed stability. This apart, the car gives a smooth ride on city and highways. Petrol mill is quite peppy: it gives the perfect city ride. Optional ABS and airbags across the variants is a good move. It is easy to handle and very safe to drive around corners.
